Karl’s Korner

Random thoughts on book writing, publishing, fishing and life in general.

I hate to rub it in, but…

Good evening, everyone,

Tired tonight, but it was a beautiful day again. Bike riding this afternoon, sitting out front in the sunshine part of the day, and getting the ironing done, and floors swept – again. I swear we have minihoonies tracking in small pieces of lint, dust, etc. – it can’t be us!

Carol is having more memory problems, especially in the late evenings – can’t seem to find anyplace or anything wihtout my help. I hope this isn’t a bad sign of things to come in the near future.

We are thinking about another trip, this time to Fort Worth and the surrounding area. There are approximately 55 stores there, and another 40+ in the Dallas area, so we’ll make two trips to visit all of them. I’ll begin working on that soon, but I still have more pictures to post tomorrow, and lots of re-editing for Kindle to do also. My days stay busy.

Talked to our daughter, Carla, tonight – they are in Key West, having visited the lowest point in the USA yesterday. Some of Dave’s family from Kentucky are also visiting there, so they are enjoying a mini-family gathering and having fun.

I’m still doing well on my diet, and my pants are getting looser, so hopefully when I try on my Mess Dress trousers, they won’t be tight. I may try them tomorrow, just for kicks. We still have plenty of time between now and June.

Alaska is a little cold right now. I don’t envy them their winters. I’ll take ours instead.

Here’s another of the jokes I tell on-board the cruise ships:

Joe and Bob are hunting in Alaska, when Joe asks, “Did you see that?”
“No,” Bob says.
“Well, a bald eagle just flew overhead.”
“Oh,” says Bob.
A couple minutes later, Joe asks, “Did you see that?”
“See what?”
“Are you blind? There was a big, black bear walking on that hill, over there.”
“Oh.”
A few minutes later Joe asks again, “Did you see that?”
By now, Bob is becoming upset, so he says, “Yes, I did!”
“Then why did you step in it?”

But, for tonight, time for bed.

Vaya con Dios, our friends,

Unit 982

Everyone was busy, busy, so we took candid shots.

A nice couple that saw us on TV and wanted a picture with us. I got to hug another goodlooking woman.

An entire famiy of "special" people.
