A sunny day to use the hot tub and relax.

Good evening, friends and family,

A glorious day full of sunshine and light breezes for another day at sea. Carol and I spent most of the morning in the hot tub or lying in the sun on chaise lounge chairs, me reading and her listening, to my favorite author, WEB Griffin.

Of course, we made all the meals and ice cream and cookie time at 3:30, after taking part in two different discussion meetings with other passengers. The first was called “Loaded Questions”, where we gave our answers to questions like, “What is your favorite memory?” and others. The second was a journal group, people who write journals of this cruise and their other adventures.

We had a lively discussion and heard several new ideas. The all liked the idea of our making a story of our “doll”, Curly. We had a very talented artist in our midst, who displayed some of the sketches she made in Rome and our other ports.

The evening finished with a very wonderful show by the team of eight dancers and singers, “So you want to dance!” I wonder where they get the energy to do that exciting show once, let alone twice in one night.

We are happy our luggage arrived and we now have everything washed and pressed, courtesy of the ship. We have learned to adapt, a smile is better than a frown. Things will get better, they always have.

So, smile with us and ride along for the next few weeks. We have 8 of the next 10 days at sea, with stops in Dakar and Mindelo, and then we’ll get to Brazil and the Amazon.

Curly has found several new things to have her picture taken with.
The Christmas decorations continue to go up around the ship. They have spared no expense there. It should be a lovely holiday to celebrate aboard the Royal Princess.

Hope everything is fine at home and wherever our family is, spread out throughout the states. Let us hear from you in our comment area below. We check it each night to see what you have to say, but not many comments so far.

Don’t be bashful, it keeps us in touch while we are sailing the briny.

Until tomorrow, Via con Dias, Karl & Carol
